Voter-registration deadlineMonday, October 19, 2026 (15 days before). After that, conditional (same-day) voter registration with a provisional ballot is available October 20 – November 3, 2026.
Early votingIn-person early voting sites open beginning October 5, 2026 (locations/hours vary by county); ballot drop-off locations open in all counties October 6 – November 3, 2026.
Election DayTuesday, November 3, 2026 (polls per county hours)

Voting by mail

Every active registered voter is automatically mailed a ballot — no application needed; counties begin mailing no later than October 5, 2026. Return by mail (postmarked by November 3 and received within 7 days), to a drop box October 6 – November 3, or in person by 8:00 p.m. on Election Day.

Your county election office

Los Angeles County Registrar-Recorder/County Clerk (RR/CC) runs the election for Los Angeles — polling places, sample ballots, and results. Operates under California's Voter's Choice Act vote-center model: any registered LA County voter may vote at any Vote Center countywide; locations and live wait times at locator.lavote.gov.
