The Los Angeles Police department plans to equip some of its vehicles with a new type of siren. This siren, known as the Rumbler, produces a low-frequency sound that is intended to get people's attention. The Rumbler works in conjunction with a standard police siren, amplifying its sound through speakers.

For now, the Rumbler will be installed in 20 police vehicles, with a larger expansion planned for the future, according to the Los Angeles Police department's announcement.
